Once upon a time, The Prospector was the premier location for real Napoletana pizza and a special kind of cuisine only possible with a wood-fired oven and creative mind, unlike any other food you’ve ever tried.   Unfortunately, the COVID event took its toll on all our resources.  Especially the person who made this all possible, Virginia Martin RIP, Robert’s mother, and wizard bookkeeper who managed our finances for 14 of the 15.5 years we were here doing business.  I am very sad to say that the prospector will no longer be in business.  Gone but never forgotten.   I would personally like to thank all the kind words and kind acts from our beloved dining family who without this never would have been a business at all.  I am working hard to provide access to some of the things that keep people coming in search of the interesting cuisine that is the benchmark of our business.  Thank you one and all that have gone above and beyond the level of “customer”

Sadly we are permanently closed after a long process of healing, not just my hand but my whole body and soul from all of the bad things that have happened over the past few years. I’m sure there are some out there that are happy to see this but regardless. I will persevere. 😢.The remembrance of a better time. My heartaches and tears flood my eyes as I reminisce over the love I have put into making the Prospector the most unique dining experience and once again my sincere thanks and gratitude goes out to all of you who came to make this possible. I dedicate this era to my mother without her we could have never made it. The joy she derived from seeing all the kind words about the Prospector.   1. I am so sad to see you have closed. I was just searching the web to find out what the Chef had on the menu for today. Regretfully, I never tried the Chefs special pizza (a pizza of his own creation at the time it is ordered). This place was the Motherlode of Pizza! The Chefs one of a kind creative combinations, and atmosphere of the place itself, will never be forgotten. Exceptional to the last bite. Thank you so much Prospector!

    • Thank you for the kind words. I apologize for the tardy response my life is still life out of balance Koyaanisqatsi. I am working hard to re-invent the prospector so check back periodically. I will be making this location into a food blog with recipes and preparation instructions soon.
